Sunday Beauty Forecast — Soak & Seal Week — October 25, 2026

This week’s forecast: Soak & Seal Week

The nights are getting cooler, the heat is on, and your skin is about to spend the next five months in dry indoor air. This week, we're turning bath time into skincare time — because the smoothest glow doesn't come from one miracle product. It comes from the ritual: exfoliate, soak, and seal.

3 tips for the week

1. Scrub on damp skin, not dry. Wet your skin first, then massage your sugar scrub in slow circles — elbows, knees, heels, anywhere that's getting ashy. Damp skin lets the sugar dissolve into the work instead of dragging across you.

2. For my melanin-rich beauties: gentle is the whole game. Over-scrubbing — or scrubbing more than 1–2 times a week — can cause micro-irritation that darkens knees and elbows (hyperpigmentation). You want glow, not grind. Light pressure, circular motion, and stop while it still feels good.

3. Seal within three minutes of toweling off. The soak gave your skin moisture; the seal keeps it. While skin is still a little damp, press in your body oil or butter — that's the step that makes the glow last past noon.

✨ Product spotlight: L. Baker Glow sugar scrub

Your pre-soak polish. Take a quarter-size amount and work it over damp skin in circles before you sink into the tub — it sweeps away the dull layer so everything you put on afterward actually sinks in.

🛁 Sunday ritual: The 30-Minute Soak & Seal

Tonight: run the water warm (not hot — hot water strips), add bath salts and breathe in the steam for ten minutes. Sugar scrub on damp skin, rinse, pat — don't rub — mostly dry. Seal with oil or butter head to toe. Fuzzy socks, hot tea, phone down. You'll wake up Monday feeling like a new woman.

Here’s to a beautiful week. Glow boldly. 💛 — LaTonya
